BY-LAW BREAKERS

OFFENDERS PUNISHED LONG LIST OF MOTORISTS. Before Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M., at the- Magistrate’s Court yesterday afternoon, the following breaches of by-laws were dealt with : For having no lights on their cars the following were fined in the undermentioned amounts: John Edgar Bass 7s (costs only); Frederick James McDonald los; William Gordon Bloxall 10s; Alexander Ross Beatty 7s (costs only); Walter Ray Brown 10s; Arthur Cedi Bnckmaster 10s; Thomas Jenkins 10s; John Henry Weaver 15s; Cecil Wood 15s; Alexander Roes Beatty 15s; Clifford Reynolds 10s; Arthur Philip Poole 15s; and Patrick Walker 7s (costs only). Fieri*, Gertrude Edmonson was fined 30s for cutting a corner, and £2 for not having a driver’s license. George Craig was also fined 10s for cutting a corner. I Mae Dorothea Hamilton Gilmer ana Jean Webster were each fined 10s for parking their cars more than one foot from the kerb. For speeding on Hutt road Thomas Bell was fined 10s, Joseph Boucher £l, and Rennie Adams £3. Speeding in Featherston street cost Leslie Walter Bradley £2, and Gufy Nicholson was ordered to pay costs' (7s) for speeding on Upland road. Leaving their cars unattended cost Herman Arthur Smith. James David Martin Mclntyre, and Harry Wong each 10s. For passing a stationary tramcar Henry Mollier was fined £l, and Charles William Stewart 7s (costs on ly). For driving a car In a manner dangerous to the public, Theo Walters was fined £3. For a similar offence at Petone Stanley Acton Hunt was fined £.lO. For speeding of an intersection at John street, George Forbes, junr., J. Jeffrey, Charles Douglas McDonald, and Joseph Billing were each fined £2. For a similar offence William J. Frier was fined £l. Allowing their stock to wander cost William Rice 20s, John Stewart 30s, and Albert Francis Tonks, Henry Hubford. and Ernest Leng 10s each.
