FOLLOWED BY POLICE MERELY SPENDING A HOLIDAY ANNOYED BY THE SEARCH Bv Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. SYDNEY, January 25. > The member of the Legislative Council, whose whereabouts have been causing the Government so much concern, has returned to the city. He says that he was spending a quiet holiday at Nowra when he read in the newspapers that he was being searched for by the police. He immediately communicated with the Commissioner of Police 'through the local station. He informed the Commissionei' tliAt he was in the best of health, and protested strongly against having his movements followed hy detectives and police. PARLIAMENT PROROGUED (Received January 25, 8.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 25. The State Parliament has l>een prorogued until February 9th, when the Legislative Council Abolition Bill vill be submitted again. The Legislative Councillor, whose name is not stated, by a curious coincidence happened to be the very man on whose support Mr J. T. Lang, the Labour Premier, was depending for the passage of the Bill abolishing the Legislative Council.
