“MURDERER!”
GERMAN DEPUTY ASSAILED "DEFILING THE HOUSE.” (Sydney "Sun” Cable.) BERLIN, December 16. Angry shouts of “Murderer!* greeted Herr Wulle’s entrance to the Reichstag. Herr Lewerenz, a Socialist, mounting the tribune, declared: “I understand this member is under strong suspicion of murder. He intends to defile the House by speaking from the tribune.” . . Thereupon the Socialists, Democrats, Catholics, and Communists left the Chamber. Herr AVulle mounted the tribune. He admitted Lehder was a member of his party, hut. denied his accusations.
There were sensational disclosures at the trial of a vouth named Lehder, for the murder of a comrade, Lieutenant Hammers, because he believed him to be a Communist spy. The two belonged to a party called the Volkische, which aims at purifying Germany of all foreign, especially Jewish influence. Lehder lure< Dammers to n forest at Tegel, on the outskirts of Berlin, and shot him. He had, it is alleged, previously informed two members of the Reichstag, Wulle and Kube, of his suspicions, and they declared that such people must be destroyed.
