KILLING AN ACT
CITY COUNCIL’S DECISION. The City . Council killed an Act of Parliament last evening, when it decided to raise no objection to the repeal of the Wellington City Boundaries Act, 1878, “which Act,” said the resolution, “is no longer required among the statutes of the Dominion.” The Act fixed the boundaries of the city 47 years ago, hut it has outgrown them long since.
