HOSPITAL BUILDINGS
LOANS APPROVED £IOO,OOO AT 6 PER CENT. At. the Wellington Hospital Board meeting yesterday, the finance committee reported that the consent of the Minister for Health had been received to borrow the sum of £IOO,OOO from the Public Trustee, at 6 per cent, for 20 years and. One per cent sinking fund. This amount is required for the balance of contracts admission and genito-ur inary blocks; connecting corridor and lift to the children’s nospital; architects’ fees; clerk of works; kitchen and laundry block; powerhouse and equipment and roadway Mein street entrance.
The committee reepmmended that the local contributory bodies be, actvised of the board’s proposals in regard to utilising the match' factory property for the kitchen, laundry and power-house block. The approval -of the Minister for ■ Health has been given to these proposals and to the financial arrangements. * It was decided to proceed with the preparation of,the necessary plans and specifications for'the proposed alterations to the match factory, and to invite tenders for the work. The roport was adopted.
