HIS MAJESTY’S

A MUSICAL MIXTURE. The Moon-Morris Itevue Company are staging /a real mirth-provoking rtiJxfure of jazz, humour, and song this week. The revue is entitled “Wit and Wisdom.” and is as good as any piece that has ever been seen at His Majesty’s There is not a dull moment in the whole show. California! was idealised in “The Orange Grove,” a pretty scena in which Ena Gordon, William Beresford, and the company gave a spirited indication of now tne evenings are spent by youths and maidens. “The Bloodstained Hand” is a cleverly constructed farce, with George Moon as the out-late husband receiving a hot mustard bath and a-piaster. .The next scene is the “morning after,” when a will discovered in an old boot in the smooths over the tiff in the excitement* of a hunt for a secreted Spanish treasure. A specially enjoyable and novel scene is a cameo of yesteryear, depicting the gallants of the past stepping .momentarily from their seclusion ana joining Wm. Beresfora m his number. The comedy is clean throughout. Among the supports in the vaudeville soction are the Novelty Musicians, the Weatherleys, who provide a novel turn. The Atlantic Girls, the twisting sisters, also appear for the first time, and bring with them a remarkably fine contortionist act.. Enid Parker pleases wjtb her violin selections and her winning personality, while Charles Sherman is well established with his tongs at the piano. This week we say farewell to Morris and Cowley, who . provide plenty of laughter, and son>e good, sensible harmony, whiefl have been cleverly interwoven so as to make them a separate entity in burlesque and vocal work. Mr Crowther’s orchestra helps the entertainment considerably.
