Another new company of vaudeville stars from the Sydney and Melbourne theatres of J. C. ' Williamson will iriaty,urate a tour of the Dominion on Hiring Day at the Grand Opera House, Wellington. Selected by special representatives of the firm from all parts of the vaudeville world is sufficient guarantee of the high-class standard of the company. The head-liner of this latest combination of acts is the worldfamous and inimitable entertainer at the piano, Herschel Henlere. His return visits to Australia have everywhere been a series of triumphs. One critic says: “The return visit of Herschel Henlere was wonderfully successful. He appears even more artistic and talented than before. He retains, much of hie former buffoonery, aided, by several new and clever gags. He is a artist, and, in his line, is . genius. 1 ' The company supporting th" star includes a brilliant London f»> vourite, Scott Sanders, who is a come, dian who features some clever ; Scotch numbers. An act direct from the Continent is Lee Mason and Sonny, who present a unique turn that is billed to “keep everyone guessing.” A turn of beauty and delight is said to be one of Fantasi, which could he more correctly described as “The Human El ag - -Direct from London are the three Swifts, dub-juggling comedians, who present the best manipulation of American dubs, as one critic says, ' ev ® r ?een in Australia.” A special vaudeville orchestra will come from Australia the company, and the scenery and effects will be on the usual lavish scale of previous companies from the J C. Williamson theatres. The box plans for the season open on Wednesday next at the Bristol.
