PENSIONS FOR WIDOWS

SYDNEY, November 17. The State Cabinet has approved the Widows’ Pension Bill, which provides for a pension of £1 a week for widows whoi are without means of support. Weekly allowances will also be niade in respect of the children of widows.
It is estimated that the scheme will involve an annual outlay of £500,000.
