MAGISTRATE'S COURT

BY-LAW AND OTHER CASES Before Messrs I. Salek and J. A. -McGrath, J ..P.’s, at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday afternoon, *the following cases were heard:— Ifor exceeding the speed limit at Kjaiwafra, George Canan was' lined £2, Jack Wilson "was fined £l, and Frank Inneb Dawson £2 ; Franciß Erie Qumlivan was fined £5 for dangerous driving. For allowing a chimney to catch fire, Reginald .Rice was fined 6s. Augustus Mitchell Tartakover was fined 10s for leaving a motor unattended. For the same offence, Frederick Clarence Walker and Arthur James Wilson were each fined 10s. The following fines were inflicted for having no lights on motor-cars:— Charles Hilton ss, William "Albert McCabe £l,. Edward Ryan 21s (three charges), William Frederick Cuple 10s, Arthur Hubert. Hoby 10s, William Thorpe 10s, Ben Nausbaum 10s, Ernest Gordon Burns 10s, Douglas Stephen Wilkins 10s. Frank Innes Dawson was fined £2 for exceeding the speed limit. The following were fined for failing to attend drill:—Richard Ernest Beaver £jl, William Frederick Cowan 10s, Niel Donald Herd ss, Leslie Harrington Morris 10s, Philip Charles Prince 10s, Horace George Symons, and Joseph Oscar Townsend 6s. • For failing fo register, James Edward Fitzroy was fined 10s, and Vivian Raynor Pudpey 10s. For neglecting to deliver up their uniforms, Harold William White was penalised to the extent of 12s Gd, and Norman White 7s. For allowing stock to wander, William Darragh was fined £2, on each of two charges; Mary Feely £l, on one charge and £2 on another; Stephen Knight £5; and Leslie Lean ss. Frank McHendry, Gulah Uka. and Tay Toung, were each fined 10s for smoking in an auction mart. Chow Boor was fined £1 for the same offence.
