WELLINGTON CLUB CUP CONTESTS. Members of the Wellington Golf Club played a, bogey match for the Victoria Cup on Saturday last, the best curd being given in by J. D. G. Duncan, who was 6 up on bogey, followed by A. D. Morris, 3 up, and K. Duncan M. Duncan, I Mac Ewan, and 0. J. Wilson, who were all square. J. D. _Q. Duncan has been playing very steadily, also winning the stroke competition last week with 71, net 68. The handicap committee have accordingly reduced his handicap trom 3.2 to scratch. The best card in the bogey handicap was W. Blundell, 4 up. Next Saturday there will be a mixed foursome, for the Islington Cup. ' The following matches in tho first round of the Ward Cup tournament have still to be played :—J. W. Ward v. R. G. Booth, E. R. Chapman v. D. M. Findlay, J. C. Peacock v. C. Howden, E. C. BattSrsby v. Arthur Young, E. v. C. J. Reakes, ’H. P. Blundell v. K. Douglas, R. W. Kirkby v. L. Whitcombe,. K. Duncan v. 1. Mac Ewan, C, J. Nathan v. J. B. Parker. C. Richardson v. A. Strang, C. W. D. Bell v. H. Morton, B. Edkins v. G. G. Callender. These matches are to be played ofi by November 29tb.
