PAREMATA BOATING CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING. The second annual meeting of th® Paremata Boating Club was held at Paremata recently. There was a large attendance of members. Mr G. H. ivinniburgh occupied the chair. The annual report and balance oheet showed the club’s position as good. It had made great progress during the last season. The progress with the chib’s boathouse is well on its way, and was expected to be completed before the season opened. The coming season’s outlook was most promising, and an entire new committee had been elected The club desired to thank all those who have donated trophies during the past two seasons, and also the ladies who had helped the club with its annual picnic and dances. Officers for the coming season have been elected as follow:—Patron, Mr F. Bradcy; vice-patron, Mr G. Handsionl, president, Mr Field, M.P.; vice-presi-dents, Messrs M. Quirk, J. Webber (Knpith, H. Brown, A. Brown, W. Brady. C. Brady, J. Brady, H. Morgan. J. Barclay, H, France, L. Waddle, C. Lambert, JT. Wiffin, J Goddard, S. Ivory, G. Groves, G. F. Pearce Wright, Ryan, Adams, J. Moffatt. R. Lane, F. Sutherland, D. O’Connell, J. Buckland, S. Shearer, A. Barber, Commodore A. Stirling; Vice-Commodore 15. O’Connor; secretary, Mr B. Fisk; treasurer. Mr M. §uirlc; committee, Messrs J. Jones. F olland, S. Allen, G. Whitcrod. F. McKeever, F. Brady, jnr., A. Smith (chairman); starter and judge, Messrs N. and J. Kinniburgh; handicapper foi yachts, Mr A. Shearer; handicappers for launches, Messrs A. Stirling and F Bolland. It was decided to open the season on November 29th.
