Dear FairJei, Yesterday I saw in the paper that a little boy had told you that their apple tree had two different kinds of apples. Well, we have an orange tree and it has lemons on it as well 1 lam sending you a little spray to show yoq. There’s six in our family. . . one boy and five girls. Ruth’s the youngest, she’s only one year and nine months, and is such a sweet little thing. I’ve got a pair of bantams and they have "got a little baby. We’ve got two Airedale pups, and a flat-coated retriever, and a cow. Do you like cows?' We had a cow and one day when we went to the paddock at the bottom o'f ours to pick blackberries, and when we were coming back the cow chased us to see what we had in our basket. ~ There is a horse in the next paddock to ours. Ruth goes twice a day to feed it, and whenever he sees her he makes a noise. With love from Mollie. Mollie Nathan, Palmerston North. Dear Fairiel, The young thrushes are getting quite big. They have all their feathers now. . . I suppose they will fly away soon. My brother did not take a whole day to catch those frogs, only part of an afternoon. I was down looking at my brother s garden. I saw three little narrow plants where he had put three little seeds. • Your loving fairy, Moira. Moira Jones, Randwick, Lower Hutt. Dear Fairiel, I do not come often to see you, but when I do I stay a long time. We have been so busy with our baby for the dental clinic competition, and the Hamna baby came top of the list. There were 21 babies in it, and it has just been like a queen of the carnival competition. There was a big Paddy’s Market for all of the babies and they each had a stall. Mother took us all to it. We had a children’s concert and dance on Friday night, and I took part in it, and there has been lots of other fun. I have a small bicycle with solid rubber tyres and 1 can ride it around our big verandah. I love to ride daddy’s bike on the ’grass, and one flay mother is going to buy me a big one all for myself. Hear little Vyrn and Bnwn arc playing motor-cars on tho sofa. They have their toys and a- rug over their knees. Although Vyrn is a hoy, he loves dollies best of all. T will tell you <OOIO fun about him While mother was away one day in Palmerston, he went to the cupboard and took out a packet of cornflour and shook it all over tho kitchen. . .
