PRINCESS MAFALDA
QUIET WEDDING IN ITALY

Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received September 24, 5.5 p.m.) ROME, September 23. The Italian Princess Mafalda was married to Prince Philip of Hesse, in the presence of the Royal Family, in a medieval, almost pastoral, setting. The ceremony was quiet. Representatives of other reigning houses, and diplomats, were not invited owing to the limited accommodation at ftacconigis, where the wedding was celebrated.
Princess Mafalda ia the second daughter of the King and Queen of Italy. She is 23. Prince Philip is a member of tho house which formerly reigned in Hesse.
