AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHY
WELLINGTON SOCIETY. Last year the Wellington Society, held numerous meetings and arranged an exhibition of pictures from the various photographic societies in New; Zealand. A. similar exhibition is to be. held shortly in Wellington. Lantern lectures were given by Messrs F. W. Vossoler and Mr S. Turner. There were also a number of demonstrations, the most interesting and important being the one given by Mr W. Van der Velden, the. Eastman Kodak demonstrator. This year other, demonstrations and lectures will be given, and as the society possesses a darkroom and enlarging apparatus, it hopes to add considerably to its membership. There was a gain in membership and a credit balance as Ihe result of last year's operations. The following are the officers elected for the current year:—Patron, Sir John Luke, M.P.; president, Mr Malcolm Ross; vice-presidents, Messrs J. A. Heginbotham, J. W. Jones, J. K. Mackay, A. S. Mitchell, G. Norton, fel. T. Robson; committee, Misses Fitsliett, Moginie, Messrs P. B. Billing, J. MacDonald, H. C. Milne, G. Norton; hon. secretary, Miss H, Johnson; hon. treasurer, Miss A. L. Welsby; hon. auditor, Mr H. B. Appleyard; hon, librarian, Mrs Blackett; social committee, Mrs Russell, Mrs Blackett, Miss Moginie.
