2279 JULES IN 24 HOURS. Australian and N.Z Cable Associntioj (Received September 23, 7.20 p.m.) PARIS, September 22. The English motorist, Captain Duff, broke the world’s record for distance in 24 hours by covering 2279 J miles. The average speed was slightly less than 93 miles an hour.
