The development of the Ngongotaha quarry by the borough council has disclosed 1 very large bodies of second-grade rock, and now appearances indicate that high-grade metal may ho obtained. "Unlimited quantities of heavy granular metal for footnaths and top dressing of macadam roads are assured. Owing to the new railway tariff for metal the development is important.
