GOOD SCORES REGISTERED. Weather condition© over the week-end were only fair from a golfer's point of view. On Saturday a strong northwesterly wind, with a wintry touch abmit it, tested golfing skill in judging its vniue in approach shots, and to mate matters worse a smart shower fell about 4 p.m. On Sunday conditions were better, the afternoon being excellent, and golfers of both sexes taking full advantage of the sunshine. Despite the wind, some excellent scores were registered in the match Miramar v. Hutt, which took place at Hutt on Saturday. Of these, J. F. Tucker who boat Rana Wagg, 6—4, was probably the best Tucker did the first nine holes in 33. But for getting into difficulties at the seventh ana taking six for a bogey four, the round would have been an exceptional one. Tucker's card read as follows;—4, 4,3, 2,3, 4 6,4, 3. MIRAMAR v. HUTT. A Teams. The Miramar v. Hutt match, played at Hutt on Saturday, resulted in a win for

the visitors bv 7 games to 5. The links were in excellent condition, and the greens fast. Results were as follow, Miramar players being mentioned first:— Conway lost to J. L. Black, 3 and 2. Tucker won from R. AVagg, 6 and 4. Hirst won, from P. Wagg, 3 and 2 Petley lost to H. A. Black, 2 and 1. Stichbury won from Cook, 3 and 1, Liddle won from Dawson, 4 and 2. Gambrill lost to Bridge, 1 up. Middleton won from Evans, 9 and 2. Rawson won from J. H. Wagg, 1 up. Grace lost to Hemery, 1 up. Page lost to Jack Wagg, 3 and 2. B Teams. The links at Miramar were in firstclaas order, and tho greens perfect for tho Miramar v. Hutt B teams match, which was won by the home team by 3 games. In the senior division H. A. Black beat J. T. Browness, 2 and 1; D. Hartwell beat J. M. Millard, 2 and 1; H, A. Black and H. .T. Shank now play off to decide which shall meet Hartwell in the final.
