FIREMAN ELECTROCUTED
CURRENT RUNS UP STREAM FROM HIS HOSE REMARKABLE FATALITY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received September 20, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, September 19. A fireman was electrocuted in remarkable circumstances while engaged a i a city fire. He was directing a hose on the flames when suddenly he collapsed. It transpired that the water from the hose encountered an electric discharge, and the current ran up the stream. The fact that the firemen’s clothes were soaked helped to conduct the current. This is the first occasion on Tecord where a death has occurred, though many firemen previously have received shocks.
