The Federation of British Industries urges the introduction of a tenpenny shilling to enable return to pre-war purchasing power, a penny of which is at present equivalent to three halfpence and sometimes twopence. The fedenati m is of the opinion that the change would reduce the cost of production and 'iving and would assist in the restoration of trade.
