Professor J. Macmillan Brown, Chansellor of the New Zealand University, returned by the Niagara after spending the winter months in the Hawaiian Islands. Professor Macmillan Brown passed through > Wellington on his way to Christchurch. Rev. W. T. Todd, who has been in charge of the Te Awavnutu Presbyterian Church during the season of vacancy, was the recipient of a wellfilled_ wallet as a mark of appreciation of his services during the past eight months. Mr Todd, who went to Hamilton about twelve months ago to supply during tho vacancy prior to the induction of Rev. 11. G. Gilbert, has greatly improved in health during his sojourn in the North. Ho lias returned to Christchurch, and hopes to resume active work in a settled charge after a retirement of about three years.
