Dear Fairiel, " I would love to belong to the Fairy Ring. . . I have wanted to for a lon’g time. My name is Jean Measton, and I live in Hataitai. It is a big house up on the hill. It’s just new and the garden is a bit untidy. lam in standard 3, and I aU nine years old. I am queen of a coronation, and have to go to a practice every Saturday. I read the Fairy Ring every Saturday, and I like it very much. My little sister likes me to read it to her. She is only six, and she can’t read yet. I have a big sister too. She is fourteen, and goes to college. Half the crossword puzzle was done when I got it, end was wrong, so I could not do it. But now I must close. Your loving JEAN. We have got six more black chickens and five more white ones. Under our house there are five oats and they fight a lot in the night. In our gardens there are a lot of primroses out in flower.
