Cauliflowers have decreased in price, and are now selling at 4d to Bd. New potatoes at Bd* celery* crisp and fresh* at Is 4d to Is 6d per bunch* kumaras 3d* watercress 3d a bunch* and hothouse cucumber* Is 3d to Is 6d* offer a fair choice for week-end consumption. Pineapples Is 6d to 2s* oranges 2s to 4s per dozen* and bananas Is per dozen* sure obtainable in plenty. Prime cuts of pork at lOd and Is* sucking pig Is 3d* veal cutlet* 9d, choice lamb lOd to Is* - Jjind sirloin of beef at Bd—these are but a selection of to-day’s meat displays. 'ln respect to groceries* prices remain unchanged. Best butter continues to command Is 7d to Is lid* while egg’s remqjn firm, in price at 2a 6d. Tea of a favourite family blend is quoted at 2s 4d per lb. Fish prices remain as usual* i.e.* round fish to 9d dressed dr 6d whole* flat fish Is* and smoked fish Is 2d. A large of smoked terakihs is on aisle-at fid to 9d.
