Dearest Little People,—«• Now that the days are getting longer, and a little warmth sometimes comes creeping in to the air, and a garden’s beginning to be the most interesting place in the world, 1 think we could tell each other lots of things about our own little plots, don’t you? Almost all of us have a tiny bit of ground to keep as our own ... or at least a favourite plant growing in a pot ... and some of you lucky counrty ones have just as much garden as you want! t Well, keep your bright eyes open for birds, and bees, and - butterflies ... for all the small things of the earth and air, and tell us what you discover. We will publish them in a wee corner of their own, and call it “Open Eyes,” shall we? Just this first time ... (or the most interesting little bit of nature news in the next. two weeks ... we will have a prize. So keep those eyes open! .Yours, ,j FAIRIEL.
