AUCKLAND SUPREME COURT MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE FAILS. Por Prose Association AUCKLAND, July 30. Mr Justice Herdman. in his charge to the Grand Jury at tne criminal sessions of the Supreme Court, commented on the case ot Albert Edward Best, charged with the attempted murder of his sister on April 16th. He said there should be no difficulty in finding a true bill. / Referring to the charge against George Edward Barker, of manslaughter by administering a drug to a companion, he said the case serious attention, as the Jifry might have some doubt about it. The case was dm. arising out of the death of Thomas Biltcliffe after an injection of heroin. The accused was discharged. The retrail. of Tadija Cvitandvich, charged with hookmaking at Matakohe, resulted in his acquittal.
