Passengers wbov arrived at Auckland: last week by the R.M.B. Niagara speak in glowing terms of the comfort they found on: board her,'and of the pleasure the voyage from Vancouver afforded. All were a happy family, , and the spirit of friendliness that prevailed contributed very largely to the enjoyment of the trip. Regular patrons of the All Red route are high in their, praise of theimprovements that have been made to the vessel's accommodation. During February and March last the. Nftgara underwent a .very thorough ana ; extensive overhaul at Sydney, with the reeult that to-day she looks as spick and span as a new ship, . The woodwork and fittings have been repainted and re-polished throughout, the public rooms re-uphol-stered and their furniture, renewed, while the paeeenger accommodation has., where advantageous, been, reconstructed, , and the ventilating system extended, and perfected/ The ship is also .highly com. mended for her online and liberal table. While it is only, to hie expeoted that the new quadruplerscrew motor liner Aorangi will have first claim upon the fastidioua traveller, it is evident that .the Niagara ia losing none of her popularity. She. is a firmly-catahlished, .favourite with a large section of the ocean-going publio, and to the light of complimentary, referenoee to her by passengers on the last south-bound trip, it tong likely to remain so.
