In the first half of tho match, in which the New Zealand League team defeated Liamore; by 21 points to 20, the visitors were outplayed, the score at' half-time being 18 to 5, against them. ' They changed their tactics in the second spell, and did not rely so much on their weight. They got. the ball more often, and made better use of it in the open. The home team led by one point two minutes before full time, but Dufty kicked a goal, which decided the issue. The New Zealand scorers were Parkes, Brown, Carroll, Avery, Kirwan (tries), and Dufty (three goals). ..
