Cantrell brought up tlie question of tho importation of hngusb wood pigeons, and pointed out how destructive these birds were. Ho suggested that the . committee should take pome action. Mr Cantrell moved—-“ That tnie meeting strongly protests against the importation of wood pigeons into this dominion, and that the Minister for Agriculture he asked to take the necessary steps to prevent the importation of these •birds. - , and. to. exterminate thosn already imported."
