STREET IMPROVEMENT. (Special to "New Zealand Times/’) OTAKI, July 25: At Friday night's meeting of the Otaki Borough Council, « Councillor Kilsby, (chairman of the. works committee) said his committee favoured-the purchase of a metal-crusher, etc., for street improve^ <ment. Councillor Hannah agreed that some steps should be taken for Street improvement, favoured the purchase of a crusher and roller, considering money in this direction Would bo well spent. It was agreed that a poll be taken on September 9th for a loan, the engineer m the meantime to ascertain necessary particulars. WATER EXTENSION Councillor Hannah favoured water extension to the Tasman and Rangiuru beaches, pointing out that \f the necessary work was put in hand -it would find werk for the unemployed -and help to wive business, which was at present dul).
