ECONOMY WITH EFFICIENCY . The substantial savings effected in estates administered by the Public Trustee are shown in the following reduced soale of commission on the capital of estates when realised < On the first £SOOO, 2J percent. On the next £SOOO, 1$ per cent. ; On the next £40,000, 1 per cent. On all in excess of .£50,000, j per cent. - "When assets ars transferred in kind the chargee are : On the first .£SOOO, If .per ceint. On the next .£5000,1 per cent. On all in excess of .£IO,OOO, j per cent. These commission charges cover many services which would have to be paid for separately, if a private executor -. were appointed. The commission charged on rent or on interest on mortgages has been reduced from 5 per cent, to 2J per cent, on amounts in excess of £SOO per . annum. ■ v ; The Trustee has power to reduce the charge when such course is warran-’ ted, and reductions are readily made in suitable cases.
