WELLINGTON STORE PRICES As regards the general prices of household commodities* little change has occurred since yesterday. Eggs are now steadily decreasing in price* and to-day are selling at .2* fid, 2d cheaper than yesterday. First and second grade 'butter remains stable at Is 7d to. Is lid. Lard is now 2d. A , cheap line of tin pineapple is being sold at 6£d. Regarding fish, prices continue to>be firm- A plentiful supply of flat fish is being retailed at Is per lb* while familiar species of round fish are on the market at 8d to 9d (dressed) or fid whole. Certain meat prices are reported a little easier. A supply of new season lamb is on display, and is inclined to be a little cheaper than oyer last weekend. Forequarters are now 9d, legs Is* and lamb chops Is. Pork has also decreased slightly in price, and at present is selling at legs lOd* and chops Is. Veal is priced at 7d .and 9d. For cooking purposes beef dripping at 2£; lb for Is is very cheap and economical. Remaining prices are stable. A bountiful supply of vegetables is offered for week-end consumption, including lettuce 2d and 3d* fresh artichokes 3d lb, radish 2d bunch* leeks 3d a bunch* and cabbages at 6d to8d each. Present prices of potatoes are 81b for Is. A general advance in prices can, in all probability* be safely predicted with the advent of the American fleet men.
