DUKE OF RUTLAND'S WILL Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, July 23. The late Duke of Rutland 'left £930,000, on which £286,000 is pay. able in death duties. His will says: “ I leave nothing to hospitals or charities, as the heavy taxation and the intolerable super-tax renders such action impossible.” The Rutland ducal estates consist of 18,000 acres of mineral land in Leicestershire and Derbyshire. There is a magnificent picture gallery at Belvoir Castle. The late Duke was 73 years of age. In his younger days he was M.P. for Leicestershire (Melton Division), and was for some time principal private secretary to the Marquess of Salisbury. He succeeded to the Dukedom in 1906.
