THE KIDDIES’ OVERALLS
When making these jolly little “romper” overalls for the tots it is an excellent plan to make two rows of stitching with the sewing machine the length of the ' buttonhole, and so close together that there is only just room enough to cut between. Cut between the rows and work the buttonhole over the machine stitching. This doubles the strength of the buttonhole—always ode of the first things to “go” in the ordinary way. Also, the small one will he immensely proudif youwork over a stencilled 'design 'of “birdies” or “elefunts” along the neckline. I have known quite small toddlers keep their rompers miraculously 'clean “’cos they’re so pretty.”
