AUCKLAND v. WELLINGTON GAME FIXED FOB SEPTEMBER. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 23. At a meeting of the Rugby * lotter from Wellington asked for i ®«- ite date for the proposed match between Auckland and Wellington. It was da cided that the Auckland touting teem play in Wellington on September 2nd. Considerable discussion arose over the proposed invitation to the Otago and Canterbury Rugby League representative teams to play m Auckland this season. Mr Doble said it was essential that the two teams should he invited to play and every eflort should be made te hove games arranged. The terms of the tnp were discussed. It was decided to invite the two teams to play during September. CITY CLUB’S TEAM. The following will represent the <"it# Clnb at Emerson street Park, on Saturday, 3 p.m.Avery (2), Keyes. Aamodt, Sage. O'Gradv, Piper, Davies, Hawthorne, Hedges. Watts, Combs, Irvine. Mitchell, Year, Hobbs, Salbury, Nixon, Gayson.
