BOXER KILLED IN RING
OPPONENT ARRESTED. Renter’s Telegram. (Received July 22. 9.20 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 21. At Louisville, Kentucky, Mickey Shannon, a Chicago light-heavy-weight boxer, was killed during the fourth ronnd of a match with Harry Fay, of Lousiville. Fay knocked him against the ropes, and he fell and struck his head against the floor. Death was instantaneous. Fay was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
