BOY SCOUT BREVITIES
Island Bay Troop has been presented with a silver cup for competition between patrols. Seventeen scouts of St. Cuthbert s Troop have passed as Tenderfoots. A parents’ night is fixed for 27th instant. -" By resolution, the Anglican- General Synod has endorsed scouting. Kaiwarra Troop formally opens on 27th instant, when Sir Alfred Robin will be present. .The following scouts have recently passed for badges as under:—Cycnst— Franklyn (St. Thomas), Davies, Watson, Healey (Y.M.C.A.), Hewson, Sherwood, Lockheed, Williams, Sando, Hunter, Phillips, Salt, Betts (Lyall Bay); pathfinder—Franklyn (St. Thomas), Prior (Y.M.C.A.); bugler—French (Lyall Bay).
