The following is the New South Wales Ruby Union team to tour New Zealand: Pull-backs: A. E. Toby and E. Reid. Three-quarters: O. Crossman, C. Bower, N. C. Smith, G. H. Foote, C, V. Morrissey, F. King, F. Doran. Five-eighths: W. G. George and T. Lawton. Half-back: H. Snell. Forwards: K. Tarleton, J. Blackwood, B. W. Windeyer, T. S. Smith, N. Woods, L. Palmer, C. L. Fox. C. Shaw, D. Telford, H. Bryant, W. A. Laycock, E. J. Thorn, E. N; Grcatorex, and W. Rigney. An additional Jdnee-quartor, half-back, and forward have yet to be selected. A. W. Ross, O. E. Nothling, *A. B. Erby, E. V Ritchie, and Pratt are not available. Mr Harold Baker has been appointed manager of the team, which leaves Sydney on August 14th. Mr Harold' Baker, who has been appointed manager of the New South Wales team, is a brother of the famous “Snowy” Baker, and is a celebrated boxing referee He whs in his time a famous Rugby player, as well as being a great all-round athlete. The Australians will npt play in Wellington. Their first match is against n combined Wellington-IJorowiiemia-Manawatu team, on August 22nd, at Palmerston North. One test match will be played on September 19tli, at Auckland. T. Lawton, ono. of the five-eighths, is a Queensland Rhodes Scholar, who played finely for Oxford and wag unluclgy not to plav for England.
