EXTENSION OF DUPLEX SYSTEM. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received July 17, 7.40, p.m.) LONDON, July 17. Captain T. Watson, representing the Church “duplex” movement, sails for Australia and New Zealand in a short tune. Ho will address the synods upon
methods of raising money for parochial and diocesan purposes.
The object of the duplex movement is to secure regular offertories from parishioners throughout the year. Double envelopes are issued, and nioney may be given either for the parish dr for work outside the parish, such as mission and social service work. The system lias a considerable _• vogue in England, nnd has been introduced in some cliurches in New Zealand.
