A certain cadet company in Wanganui which usually parades in school uniform was called upon to turn out in full military equipment. Some of the youths have sprung up like the proverbial mushroom m the last few months, and when they came to climb into their khaki uniforms the effect was ludicrous to a degree. One cadet in particular could not get into either his tunio or trousers, and paraded in mufti, wearing the only parts of his military uniform that fitted —the hat and stockings.
