Here a descent was made to the road, which was followed back to Karaka Bay, via Point Halswell. The slow pack were released for the run home at Miramar Cutting, Grant moving along at a fair clip to arrive home first about lOO.yds ahead of Newman, with F. Howard 50yds away third. F. Silver, who started with the fast each, finished in fifth position, Zander being second of tSie fast pack. Next Saturday the club championship will be contested at Hutt Park.
