An arrival at Auckland last evening was the steamer Middleham - Castle from New York with cargo for discharge under the agency of the C. and D. Line at Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Wanganui. She is expected at Wellington about Monday next, July 27th. CANADIAN BRITISHER REPORTED. En route from Montreal, where she left on June 29th with cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton. Timaru and Dunedin, the Canadian Government Line have been advised that the steamer Canadian Britisher arrived at Panama on Monday last, July 13th. The vessel is expected at Auckland on August 11th and at Wellington about a week later. MATATUA’S PROGRAMME. To complete her discharge of Liverpool cargo, the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that the steamer Matatua left Lyttelton on Saturday for Dunedin. From Dunedin the vessel will proceed to Oamaru, thence Timaru, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and Wellington, to load for London and Monto Video, and is due here on August 11th, sailing finally from this port, on August 20th for London, via Monte Video and Teneriffe. WAIMANA FOR U.S.A. To continue her discharge of London cargo, the Shaw. Savill and Albion Company advise that the steamer Waimana loaves Auckland to-morrow for Napier. She afterwards proceeds to Dunedin and Bluff to complete her discharge, and to load for U.S.A. and England. The Waimana. will also load at Lyttelton, thence Wellington (August 14th to August 19th), Napier, Waikokopu, Gisborne and Auckland, and is to sail finally from Auckland on September 4th for London, via Now York and Boston.

COASTAL TRADE. The Putiki, due at Wellington to-day from Napier, -via -East Coasty-bays, sails to-morrow for Napier and Gisborne, via Akitio and Castlepoint. The Invercargill arrives here to-morrow from Wanganui, and, leaves on Wednesday on the return trip. The Opua leaves Wellington to-day for Westport and Greymouth. The Orepuki, from, Greymouth, with timber, arrives at Wellington oh Wednesday, and sails on Thursday for Westport and Greymouth. The Holmdale sails to-day for Wanganui, and returning to Wellington on Wednesday, leaves the same day for Dunedin direct, Oamaru, and Timaru. The John leaves Wellington to-day for Havelook and Wanganui, and is due back on Thursday. The Progress, from southern ports, is due at Wellington to-morrow, and sails on Wednesday for New Plymouth and Port Waikato. The Comet is expected here about Thursday from Havelook and Pelorus Sounds, and leaves on the return trip about Friday. _ The schooner Holmwood is expected to clear Wellington at the end of the week for Newcastle to "load for New Zealand.

The Hawera loaves Wellington to-mor-row for Patea, and returns hers on Thursday.

The Storm, now due 'here to-morrow from southern ports, leaves the same day for Wanganui. She returns to Wellington on Thursday, and sails the same dsy for Bluff direct, Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. The Gale leaves Westport to-day with coal for Lyttelton, and after discharge proceeds to Dunedin, thence Oamaru. Timaru, and Lyttelton to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The Ripa loading at Oamaru to-day, thence Timaru and Lyttelton, arrjves at Wellington on Thursday, and sails the same day for Picton and Wanganui. She returns to Wellington on Sunday next, and leaves on Monday fqr southern ports. The Calm, at present in dock at Port Chalmers for cleaning and painting, is expected to load at Dunedin on Wednesday, theiice Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton for Wellington and Wanganui. The Kohi is due at Wellington on Thursday from ■ Karamea. and sails on Friday for Havelock and Nelson. The Breeze is still detained at Dunedin owing to the labour trouble there. The Echo leaves Wellington to-day for Blenheim, ■ and returns here on Wednesday. . _ The Kennedy, from Lyttelton, via Foxton, arrives here on Thursday, and sails the same day on the return trip. The Wairau, due at Wellington to-day from Blenheim, leaves on the return trip to-morrow. The Corinna leaves Wellington to-day for New Plymouth and Nelson, and returning here on Thursday, sails the same day for Dunedin direct, Oamaru, and Timaru.

The Kaimai, from Greymouth, via Westport, .was due at Wellington last evening. The Kaimanawa, due at Auckland today from Westport, - now returns direct to Westport. The Kaitangata left Wellington en Saturday for Lyttelton, thence Timaru, Dunedin, and Bluff toi complete her discharge of South Australian cargo. The Kaitoke leaves Auckland to-mor-row for Wellington, and arrives here on Friday. The Kaituna was expected to clear Adelaide on Saturday for Dunedin direct, Lyttelton, Wellington, New Plymouth, and Auckland.

The Kakapo, front Greymouth, via Westport, is due at Wellington to-day. The Kamo, whioh arrived at Dunedin on Friday from northern ports, is held up there owing to the labour dispute. The Kamona loads at Portland to-day for Wellington, and is due here about Thursday. After discharge here she proceeds to Greymouth to load for Wellington. The Karori clears Westport to-day for Wellington, and i* due here to-morrow The Katoa, from southern ports, arrives at Wellington to-morrow, and fails the same day for Auckland direct. The Kauri leaves Wellington to-day for Melbourne and Geelong, via Westport. The Komata, whioh arrived here list evening from Westport, sails at 1 p m. on Wednesday on the return trip. The Opihi, • tfhieh - left Wellington on Saturday for New Plymouth, will after discharge, proceed to Westport to load for Timaru and Dunedin. The Waimarino arrived at Newcastle on Saturday, and leaves again early this week for Bluff, The Whangape arrived at Newcastle on ffaturdav to load for Auckland. KUMARA FOR BUNKERS. For bunkers only the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that the steamer Kumara loaves Lyttelton to-day for Wellington ad arrives here to-morrow. She is scheduled to clear this port finally on Wednseday, July 22nd. for London, via Panama. KARAMEA HOME. Cable advice, received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company states that the steamer Karamea arrived at London on Thursday afternoon, Jnly 16th. The vessel loaded in New Zealand and finally sailed from Auckland! on May 28th. CANADIAN CHALLENGE®. The Canadian Government Line advise that the steamer Canadian Challenger, now discharging Canadian cargo at Wellington. leaves to-morrow for Lyttelton, Timariv and Dunedin, to complete discharge and to load. She returns to Wellington on July 27th to take in cargo, And sails the same day for Auckland, where sho completes loading and leaves on July 81st for New York. Boston and Montreal. * TAINUI LEAVES HOME. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company have been advised that the liner' Tainui sailed from Southampton on Friday afternoon, July 17th, with passengers for disembarkation at Wellington and cargo for discharge at Wellington and Auckland. She is expected at Wellington about August 24th. ' KIA ORA DUE TO-DAY. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that the steamer Kia Ora' left Tokomani Bay yesterday (Sunday) morning and is due at Wellington at 11 o’clock this morning. She sails on Wednesday for Bluff, and finally sails from there on July 28th for London, via Monte Video and Teneriff^. RUAPEHU AT LYTTELTON. To take in further cargo, the Federal S.N. Company advise that the stenmer Ruapehu arrived at Lyttelton on Saturday from Timaru, and leaves to-morrow for New Plymouth, Wanganui, Wellington (July 29th to July. 31st), Napier, Gisborne and Auckland, to ; complete loading. She is scheduled to clear Auckland finally on August 10th for Nsw York, Boston, and West of England ports. rf-muLe asails" TO-DAY. Now discharging cargo at Wellington, the Now Zealand Shipping Company advise that the liner Remuera leaves this afternoon for Lyttelton, where she completes her discharge of London cargo, and commences her Homeward loading. She afterwards fills up at Timaru, thence Wellington (July 27th.to July 30th), Gisborne, Tokomaru Bay, and Auckland, and sails finally from Auckland on August 15th for Southampton and London, via Panama. SALLY MAEBSK FOR NEW ZEALAND To load Eastern Canadian cargo for New Zealand, the New Zealand Shipping Company have received advise that the steamer Sally Maevsk arrived at Sydney (Cape Breton) on July 15th.

CANADIAN SPINNER COMING. The Candian Government Line advise that the steamer Canadian Spinner -leaves Montreal on July 25th for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about September 7th. PORT MELBOURNE TO COMPLETE. At present loading at Wellington for Monte Video and London, tho C. and D. Line advise that the steamer Port Melbourne leaves here on Wednesday for Lyttelton to complete, and sails anally on July 25th from Lyttelton. DOONHOLM SAILS. The New Zealand Shipping Company s chartered steamer Doonholm left Wellington on Saturday for Lyttelton, thence Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney, to complete 1 discharge of her Canadian cargo. EASTERN CANADIAN SAILINGS. The Now Zealand Shipping Company have been advised that the steamer Kartigi sails from Montreal on August 25th for Auckland, Wellington, Picton, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is to be followed in September by the steamer liiivitea. which loads for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. Both these vessels are two new steamers for the Union Company, and after completing discharge will be handed over to them. ROTORUA HOMEWARD BOUND. Homeward bound from Wellington, where she left on June 27th, the New Zealand Shipping Company have received advice that the liner Rotorua arrived at Panama on Thursday, July 16th. ISLAND" STEAMERS. The Union Company advise the following movements of their Island steamers: The Tofua left Auckland on Saturday for Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa. The Flora left Rarotonga at 3.30 a.m. on Thursday last for Auckland, via Mangsia, and is due at Auckland about J uly 25th. TAHITI FROM SYDNEY. The Union Compny’s R.M.S. Tahiti is due at Wellington early this morning from Sydney, and after pratique has been granted will berth at No. 2, Queen’s wharf. She sails again at 3 p.m. tomoirow in continuation of her voyage to San Francisco, via Rarotonga and Papeete. GURNA DISCHARGING. At present continuing her discharge of New York cargo under the agency of the A. and A. Line at Wellington, the steamer Gurna leaves Wellington to-day for Lyttelton, thence Australian ports, to complete her discharge. CARGO FROM LIVERPOOL. The' Federal S.N.
