The demonstration of rose-pruning nt the Zoo on Saturday afternoon excited a great deal of interest, and quite a crowd collected, anxious to learn tha best way of looking after their flowers. The arrangements were made by Mr James Bell, of Hataitai, who was kept busy, as were the other demonstrators, Messrs Waugh, Jannin, and Jacobson. The many inquiries were satisfactorily answered, and a great deal of very useful information acquired by the public, who were also allowed to take cuttings, to their great pleasure.
