WEDDING AT WANGANUI
A 'very pretty wedding of considerable interest was solemnised on the evening of July Ist at St. Peter’s Gbmrch, Gonvilfe, Wanganui, the Rev. D._B. Malcolm officiating, between Nellie Mabel, -only : daughter of Mr and Mrs R. O. Thurlow, of Gonville, and Eric Charles, -younger son of the late Mr and Mrs T. W. Fisher, of Wellington. The bride was reoeived by the vioar, who; presented her with an ivory-bound prayer-book, While the choir sang “Oh, Perfeot Love.” The bride looked charming in white mousseline satin and Spanish laee, and long lace sleeves trimmed with pearls, and a veil with a coronet of orange-blossoms, heather • and pearls.. She was attended by Miss Phyllis Miller, cousin of the bride, and- Miss Irene Fisher (Te Kuiti), cousin of the bridegroom. They wore rose and peacock blue coloured frocks respectively of embossed velvet, trimmed with silk. fringe and georgette • relieved with snver tissue bands and tiny georgette roses.to match, both wearing salver tissue Dutch caps. Mr Pat. Barns was the best. man. and Mr Reg. Thurlow groomsman. - The guests, numbering about a hundred, were entertained at the Gonville Town Hall. Mr and Mrs Fisher travelled south for their honeymoon, the bride wearing a smart tailored tweed costume, with small hat to match.
