REFLECTION ON WOMEN DOCTOR’S STATEMENT UPHELD. Per Press Assori*tinn CHRISTCHURCH, July 8. At a special meeting of the Hospital Board this morning the report of the superintendent. Dr. Fox, on venereal disease was considered. Mrs McCombs moved: “That the board dissociates itself from the sentiment expresred by I)r. Fox.” She objected to his statement that men had been led astray by unscrupulous women. The Rev. Mr Carr, in seconding the motion, snid he thought Dr. Fox wished to create a storm, ns that was the only wav to get under tli* skin of the average citizen. Dr. Fox, in reply, said he had not referred to women in general. The motion was lest by six votes to four.
