THAT OCTOPUS

(To the Editor “N.Z. Times.”) Sir, —After reading the account of the octqpus caught at Te Aro baths yesterday, I am not at all surprised at such a thing getting into the baths. If the openings in the bars are two inches wide, as described, this octopus could quite easily squeeze through, I have witnessed bigger fish than the one referred to squeeze through an opening not nearly two inches wide. FRENCH PASS. June 18tE.
