SALARIES RAISED
CHRISTCHURCH JOURNALISTS. Per Press Association. 1 CHRISTCHURCH, June 19, The Arbitration Court’s award for the Christchurch metropolitan journalists gives increased rates all round, following on the lines of the recent, Auckland agreement. Senior reporters have an increase of 15s per week ; generals 10s, juniors ss, and sub-editorial salaries have been raised proportionately. Readers receive two weeks' holiday instead of one. The award comes into operation on June 22nd, for two years.
