PRIME MINISTERS OF EMPIRE NO CHANGE IN SYSTEM. Reuter's Telegram. (Received June 18, 7.45 p.m.) LONDON, June 17. In the House of Commons, replying : to Colonel J. Gretton (Con.), Mr Stani ley Baldwin said the arrangements for direct communication and consultation ; between the Prime Ministers of Britain , and of the dominions had not ibeen discontinued. The announcement that it intended to appoint a Secretary of State for the Dominions in nowise modified or conflicted with the desire which the Prime 1 Ministers of the Empire expressed :n 1918 for direct communication without the intermediary of the Secretary of : State. • The circumstances in which direct i communication between the Prime ; Ministers occurred were clearly indicated in the jcesolutions of the Im- ; perial War Cabinet of 1918, which were ' confirmed by the Imperial Conference *>f 1921, and remained in force.
