WHAT MR MoOOMBS THINKS. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Juno 18. Mr McCombs, senior Labour M.P., says if 85 per cent, of those who voted Liberal at the last election vote Labour this year, as they did in the Franklin electorate yesterday, then Labour will record the biggest progressive voto since the days of tho Hon. R. J. Seddon. “I believe if the Franklin figures are an indication of the trend of political thought, that this year Labour will score the most remarkable advance ever made in the history of New Zealand,” concluded Mr McCombs.
