LAD’S WILD ESCAPADES GUILTY OF BURGLARY “This lad is a juvenile, but the reason why we are charging him with an indictable offence is because ho is incorrigible,” said Chief Detective Kemp when a bright-looking lad. aged 15 years, pleaded guilty to two charges of burglary and one of theft. “Ho has escaped 32 times from Weraroa,” continued the detective, “and it is desirable that he should he sent to the Borstal Institution at Invercargill. The accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
