FLOWER SHOW

FINE DISPLAY AT BROOKLYN.

THE PRIZE-WINNERS.

A creditable display was made at the . seventh annual snow of the Brooklyn Horticultural Society, opened at St. Matthew’s Schoolroom yesterday after- 1 noon and to be continued to-day. Chrysanthemums wore well represented, especially taking into consideration the fact -.hat the lateness of the blooms this year prevented a number of would-be exhibitors coming forward. The blooms generally were first-class. The vegetable section was also a strong one, and the judge remarked on the general excellence of the exhibits. There was a large nrmber of entries in the ‘homo section” : and the exhibits as a whole were admirable, showing a marked improvement, stated the judge, on those of former yeans.
