CLAIM BY MEDICAL MAN. PROFESSION DECLINE TO COOPERATE Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 23. The committee appointed to co-oper-ate with Dr E. S- Dukes, who claims he can cure infantile paralysis, this morning sent the following letter to the chairman of the Hospital Board: “Dear Sir, —In accordance with the wish of the Auckland Hospital Board* we, the undersigned, met Dr E. 8. Dukes this morning. Dr Dukes stated that he proposed to treat cases of aoute Infantile paralysis with remedies the nature and action of which he refused to disclose. At the same time he wished no other treatment to be applied. In view of the serious possibilities with which this disease is fraught we cannot ; accept the responsibility of sanctioning j the omission of those measures on i which the medical profession through- ! out the world are agreed.
